[Dongdaemun] Dongdaemun at night

Dongdaemun.

History.

1398 constructed by King Taejo,

(He was founder and first King of Joseon.)

It was renovated in 1453, 1869.

The wall around gate was reinstalled after Japanese colonial era.

How to get there...?

It is located a center of Seoul.

Exit. 6 at Dongdaemun station.

(Blue line-Line 1&4)

It is 3 stops after from Myeongdong station and

4 stops after from City hall.

What kind of other things around.....

1. Gwangjang market

This is one of famous traditional market because of street food.

You can go there exit.9 Dongdaemun stat. in 10 min. by walking.

Actually it is closer from Jong-ro 5 ga stat.

But around Dongdaemun stat. is good for tourist because of Dongdaemun and other tourist attractions.

2. The wall in Seoul city

Across a road, there is a wall since Joseon dynasty.

It is good enough to walk and peaceful.

Beside of the wall, there is a museum for Seoul history(Seoul city wall museum).

It will re-open at 06.Sep.2016.

3.DDP

DDP is famous especially for foreigner.

Of course most of them Chines or East Asian.

Photos were taken at DDP park but most of people visit there because of buying cloth.
